The reason I am running is that I honestly believe that, of the people now running, I am the best qualified person to do the job. I was raised by one of the best criminal lawyers from this area. I grew up listening to stories and discussions between my father and other lawyers about all manner of issues involved in criminal law. In law school I focused on criminal law and procedure and every other course I could take to prepare me to practice criminal law. For the past 21 years I have served as a judge of Sessions Court which deals with caseloads that are about 80% criminal. I have conducted hundreds upon hundreds of hearings during which I have applied the rules of evidence to the facts of the case to determine whether the admissible evidence established probable cause to support the prosecution. I have conducted hundreds of hearings to determine whether or not a defendant has violated the terms of his or her probation and should serve the sentence in jail.

The procedures and work I have done during the last 21 years have forced me to make countless complicated, close, and tough decisions. It is the process of making those decisions that constitutes the experience that is the most vital qualification for being a judge and I bring more of it to the table than anyone else who is running. It is for this reason that I am running for Criminal Court Judge.
